If you don't like empty directories, RED, for "Remove Empty Directories", lets you search for and remove empty folders, often forgotten during software installation/uninstallation.
RED lets you choose whether to scan only a specific hierarchy of folders, or to scan an entire drive.
You can also exclude system folders (recommended for inexperienced users) and tell RED whether to consider folders containing only zero-byte (0 Kb) files as empty or not.
Experienced users can even define custom name templates to identify files that should be considered "junk", enabling you to locate folders that, while not empty, contain only useless files.
Before deleting anything, RED will display a complete preview, showing a list of all folders matching your criteria. You can then choose to proceed with the cleanup, select folders to exclude or manually delete individual directories.
